The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
